I was sleeping away,
Peacefully while you drove.
The exhaustion from this week had finally kicked in,
And I could not resist it no more.
On and on you drove,
While I was oblivious on what was to come.
Miles and miles,
All the while I dreamed of sweet things.
You kept quite,
Letting me rest.
But soon we were near our destination,
And I began to shift around.
I fluttered my eyes open,
And was blinded by the light.
But soon after I was bombarded by another presence,
Four large faces.
The faces of:
Marilyn Monroe,
Elvis Presley,
John Wayne,
And Charlie Chaplin.
Their smiles gleamed at us,
While we passed.
I sat dumbfounded,
While King Kong waved us onward.
Was I still dreaming?
