It's amazing to see,
Something that normally doesn't come into being.
Like the Sun being obscured,
In the Moon's everlasting allure.
Around me are gathered,
Other people who are also enamored.
By the absence of the Sun,
And the darkness that has come.
For us though,
It was only hidden about 90% or so.
But still it gave us a shiver,
For all that was left was a little sliver.
Enough light for the ending of a day,
As though it was dusk being portrayed.
And yet,
This is a day that I won't soon forget.
