Next To The Candle Light (2023)

The flame flickers on the wick of the candle.
Almost as if they’re trying to read along with me.
I don’t blame them though,
This story is quite riveting.

What’s even more enchanting is having a story like this,
One where you can’t put the book down.
Having the words entrancing you into a new world.
Making the real world seem more fantasy than this one in the pages.

You devour all the words that it has.
Sometimes even missing a few hours of sleep,
Just to see what the next chapter holds.
Using the light next to you to guide you through this wonderful world.

“One more chapter, one more chapter”,
Is a mantra that all of us book lovers have.
Until we get to the very end,
And notice the sun has risen again.

Stories like this are indeed the best.
With writers creating more worlds for us to explore.
So make sure to bring a light,
Because when the sun goes down the journey doesn’t have to end just yet.
