I sit here daydreaming of being with you.
Being close once again.
The distance not being an issue anymore.
Of gazing at the Blue Mountains alongside you once more.

Of exploring new places in your homeland.
Looking around in amazement and awe of what you see everyday.
Being able to reach out my arms and touch you.
Not seeing you through a screen.

But the time for our forever hasn’t come yet.
So we must part ways once again.
Leaving behind these beautiful mythic lands to me.
And more importantly, you my darling dearest.

I step outside my own home and see all that is around me.
It has its own beauty in a way,
But not the one that I yearn to see.
It’s not the place I want to be.

No sapphire mountains,
No towering forests,
No you.
And that’s where I want to be.
