"You can't act this way because you'll be just like your father."
"You can't say this thing because you'll sound just like your mother."
"You can't feel this way because it's not how I feel."
"You can't be you because I said so."
"You can not laugh, for it is to loud for my ears."
"You can not cry, for there is not a valid enough reason to me for you to cry."
"You can not be tired, because you are young and haven't lived life long enough."
"You can not feel anything because I said so."
"You are meek and sweet, you never stand up for yourself."
And yet when I do I am met with anger and hatred.
"You are quite and too caring at times, you'll never learn to value yourself more."
And yet when I do something for myself I am told I am filled with greed and selfishness.
In a world full of contradictions,
Breathing and walking hypocrisies,
I am looked down upon so much?
For simply just trying to be me.
And why is it okay to do that?...
